I received my weighted vest in a timely manner. I was impressed with the quality and appearance of the product. Upon wearing it, I found it very comfortable, considering it is additionally 50lbs to my body weight. -By Marcus Bowyer, Sioux Lookout, Canada
The MiR Pro 50Lbs Adjustable Weighted Vest was even better than I expected. It's rugged and comfortable, sturdy and flexible, adjustable (enough to conform well to the body) and expandable (3 lbs at a time) up to 90 lbs. I chose this vest rather than the one that expands to 140 lbs., because a realistic self-appraisal pointed out that I'm an ordinary 60 year old man who's suffered "the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune" (that's life) and would do well if I even used all 50 lbs., let alone expand the vest to its full capacity. Nevertheless, "to take arms against a sea of troubles And by opposing, end them" is where optimism comes in because at least I'm leaving the door open to that possibility by having purchased this vest rather than one of the lighter ones (which may be a better option for some). ...... The MiR Pro Vest is adaptable for use in a variety of activities to develop more overall fitness than the activity itself would have provided alone. I'll be experimenting with Kettlebell and Bodyweight exercises (TRX, Rings, Pull-up Bar, Dip platform, Walking, Tai Chi, Wavemaster Training Bag, etc.), starting with only three pounds and then progressing one bar at a time in order to give the old bod time to adapt. -By Paul Otheim, Silverdale, WA
100% satisfied with the MiR vest, 50lb. I was recently diagnosed with cervical disc bulging and had to limit my weight lifting. Works well and would recommend the product to anyone looking to SWEAT!!! -By K. Bell, California, USA)
After training with someone wearing a weighted vest, I decided to get one myself. It really did only take 3 days from ordering to show up at my front door. I opened up the packages and immediately put it to use. The construction seems solid, and I verified this by killing myself with some burpees while wearing it (not all full weight; I'm still a wuss). It's sturdy and stays put, so from walking to running to calisthenics to light sparring, it's been a good addition to my conditioning routines. There was a slight smell, probably from the nylon, when I first pulled out the vest, but after an hour or so of walking around with it outside, it dissipated. The reflective stripe on the back is a nice touch, but I wish these things came in colors other than black. I feel like I'm wearing a flak jacket or explosive vest when I'm in the neighborhood. :) By Christopher Watkins, Houston, TX
I love this vest. The material is very strong and allows you to do cardio activities such as plyometrics and running with ease. It also allows one to step up their push-up/pull-up routine as well. MiR makes the best weight vests in my opinion. The shipping was fast and had no problems in receiving the product. All in all this is a very good vest, the only problem one might encounter is that your flexibility is limited when doing close grip pull-ups or stretches. By Charlie, Kingston, TN
This is my first weight vest, I was a little concerned about the quality of the vest at this price as there are others that are significantly more expensive, however after having recieved it the quality looks great, its well made, and looks to be quite durable. This vest in particular has 1.5lbs plates, fitting up to 2 in each pocket, with 3 rows front and back which will make it easy to tailor the weight to whatever you want. 60lbs is quite a bit of dead weight, I am 5'8", medium-large framed, around 205lbs, and quite active and fit and it will be a while before I work myself up to 60lbs during my HIRT/crossfit sessions. For those that can handle the 60lbs and need more, this vest in particular can be expanded to 90lbs. As far as fit and comfort the vest is easy to get snug, and with two straps that go around your midsection that you can cinch up it stays put and its actually pretty comfy for so much dead weight. The only con I can think of is there was no manual or diagram on how the vest goes together as it comes in 2 pieces. It is really quite simple and straight forward, but having not worked with a weight vest like this before I wasn't exactly sure how this all went together initially, and I had to weigh the plates myself to find out they are 1.5lbs each. Not a big enough deal to even drop a start off the review, but a one page info sheet/diagram would have been nice. By M. Jones, Eudora, Kansas United States
Great quality product. A friend of mine and I used to work out in GoFit vests but after a few weeks we started to tear them up. this vest is tough and comfortable. we love working out in them and we get a lot of comments at the gym doing pull ups in them. Cannot say enought good things about this product. If you want to get youself to a whole another level this is the way to do it. By David R. Bunch, The Woodlands, TX
I like to know that I'm challenging myself when I exercise and when I felt like my regular routine wasn't cutting it, I thought about ways to step it up. I've made the progress I've made so far without any gym equipment so I wasn't about to invest in that. I took a trip to a local sporting goods store and had a look around and saw some weighted vests and thought that would be perfect, but they only stocked a 40lb vest and I was not happy with such a low ceiling. So I came here and found MiR's large selection and decided the 60lb vest was the perfect choice at the right price point for me. It arrived several days sooner than I expected, I dropped it down to 30lb and went through my routine, very humbling. I haven't had a sore this good in months. Plus, I know right where to go if I actually desire more weight. The only thing that could have made the experience any better would be a small "assembly" guide, as I ended up spending more time getting the belt straps on right than I did getting the weight at a desired level. I would definitely recommend. By Andrew Nadeau
I worked out with this vest today running with 60 then 40 lbs. I can honestly say it kicked my butt. I can foresee many more outstanding workouts to come. By Lance E. Gray, TQ, IRAQ
The vest fits very comfortably and is pretty sturdy. In reality I would have to say that it is slightly bigger than the picture but does it's job well regardless. I don't know if I can do sit ups but I can do some pretty tough push;s with these. You can get a good sweat going with this vest thanks. By Anthony A. Willock
This is a great way to do squats and calf raises when you don't have a full barbell set.
The product arrived in 3 separate boxes within a couple of days of my order. The quality appears to be top-notch and should hold up very well. It's very easy to put the vest on and off except when it's fully loaded. I'll need to build up a little more upper body strength for that. By K. Tupper
